Ebenezer Scrooge (Scrooge McDuck) runs a business and is a miser. His employee Bob Cratchit (Mickey Mouse) is a poor, but good-hearted fellow with a large family and a pathetic son, Tiny Tim, handicapped and cheerful. Scrooge’s nephew (Donald Duck) tries to help, but is rejected for his blatant sentimentality. One night Scrooge’s dead partner Jacob Marley (Goofy) warns him to repent. To help, Marley will send three spirits to help Scrooge reform. The first ghost of Christmas Past (Jiminy Cricket) shows Scrooge his slow fall from grace, including the loss of his beloved Belle (Daisy Duck). He subsequently has visits from Christmas Present and the ominous future before he can become a changed duck.
