The Other Guys sees the unlikely pairing of Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg), two despised police detectives. Together they must step up to the plate and fill in for their heroes on the police force; Christopher Danson (Dwayne Johnson) and P. K. Higsmith (Samuel L. Jackson) and investigate a crooked business man named David Ershon (Steve Coogan). Both Gamble and Hoitz have much adversity to overcome as everyone is the precinct sees them as a pair of bumbling goofballs. Hoitz has made many past mistakes in the line of duty while Gamble is afraid of being shot on the job. The two find an unlikely ally in Dr. Sheila Gamble (Eva Mendes), Allen Gamble’s wife.
