Former CIA / Special Ops agent Dean Cage (Wesley Snipes) is cleaning himself up, having done drugs to forget the death of his friend Scott in Bosnia. Dean and girlfriend Amy (Jacqueline Obradors) go out to eat with Scott's sister (a detective). Unfortunately, he is mistaken as a CIA investigator on the theft case of "EX", an experimental military hallucinogen. Rogue CIA agent "Sullivan" abducts him, interrogating with the use of the new drug. Dean escapes, but is delirious with confusion, open to tormentingly abstract suggestions by Sullivan and his crew. Amy and him go about trying to find the antidote to EX, as after six hours of untreated exposure, it becomes fatal.
