The story revolves around a sailor Popeye (Robin Williams) who moves to Sweet Haven town in search of his father Poopdeck Pappy (Ray Walston). There he makes many friends in the town one of them being Wimpy a burger eating freak. Soon he discovers Olive Oyl (Shelley Duvall) and falls for her but she is actually Bluto’s (Paul L. Smith) girlfriend. Bluto is the villain of the town. Soon Popeye becomes the hero of the town by fighting all the evils. He also develops friendship with Olive. He finally succeeds in finding his father and also winning the battle against Bluto and all this strength is provided by spinach which gives him real energy.
