In the mid-80's, 19 yr old Karl Koch (August Diehl) feels the world is too chaotic. He starts investigating backgrounds of various political figures and finds some signs that make him believe a worldwide conspiracy is taking place. When he meets with some hackers, he befriends David (Fabian Busch). Together the two figure out they can break into the global data network. Because of their beliefs they decide to get into the espionage business with the KGB. But unfortunately for Karl, he also develops a cocaine addiction. Computer hacking, espionage and drug induced delusions are all a part of Karl's life and he must find a way to deal with it all before it's too late.
