“Brainstorm” is the story of two scientists, Michael Brace (Christopher Walken) and Lillian Reynolds (Louise Fletcher) who have perfected a method of recording mental experiences and playing them back for others to experience at a later date. The process eventually spirals into being used to enter someone’s mind and sift through their past experiences. Quickly everyone who works in the lab begins to use the brainstorm technology for their own selfish reasons but none become so selfish than the military’s application of the technology. Having terminated everyone who worked on the project, the government is now perfecting brainstorm torture techniques which result in the death of a fellow researcher. Now, Michael has taken it upon himself to steal the data and expose the project for what it is.
