Two Mexican musicians(Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong) who are roaming through France are paid by the people of one small village NOT to play their music, so they have some time to kill before their next gig. They encounter a gypsy(Rae Dawn Chong) who tells them the story of two similar brothers long ago in pre-revolutionary times who were separated at birth, one growing up in France, the other inexplicably sent to Mexico. They meet as young men and realize they are brothers because each feels the physical sensations of the other. They quickly become embroiled in a revolution against the evil Fouquaire(Roy Dotrice).
