Django (Franco Nero) is a loner who pulls a coffin along with him everywhere he goes. Django saves Maria (Loradena Nusciak) from thieves, only to find that the same thieves have made a mess of a small town. Major Jackson (Eduardo Fajardo) has been charging the townspeople money to protect them from the thieves, yet he’s a criminal himself. The arrival of Hugo Rodriguez (Jose Bodalo), a mercenary, complicates matters when he agrees to work with Django to steal Jackson’s gold but instead takes it all for himself. Django needs Maria’s help to steal the gold back from Hugo and escape alive.
