The Ice Pirates is a futuristic comedy that sees a universe devoid of water. In the beginning in a very Star Wars like spoof, two Pirates, Jason (Robert Urich) and Roscoe (Michael D. Roberts) are captured and sold into slavery. The two are purchased by Princess Karina (Mary Crosby) who is looking to hire mercenaries to help her find her father. Her father vanished after having found information that would topple the rulers of the galaxy. Their journey takes them on a hilarious adventure involving killer monsters, gladiatorial robots and even a glimpse of their own futures. Not only do they find recruits along the way but they spoof every science fiction movie known to man along the way.
