In this sequel to Speed, Annie Porter (Sandra Bullock) again finds herself in trouble on a speeding vehicle headed for disaster—this time it’s set at sea aboard the Seabourn Legend luxury liner. Her boyfriend Alex Shaw (Jason Patric) has booked them on a romantic Bahaman cruise in an effort to make up for concealing his career law enforcement. The vacation goes awry when everyone aboard finds themselves at the mercy of a maniac when disgruntled computer genius and would-be diamond thief John Geiger (Willem Dafoe) hijacks the ship’s navigational system and sets it on a deadly collision course with an oil tanker, and it’s up to Alex to save the day.
