In the film, Jane has contacted Tarzan (Johnny Weismuller) and asked him to journey to the desert and search for a specific type of plant that can be used to make a serum. On their journey the pair is joined by a horse and American woman. While on their journey, they run into a number of problems including some Nazi spies, an evil prince, giant spiders and dinosaurs. As with most Tarzan movies, Cheetah, the pet chimpanzee, is also on hand to lend help when needed.
