That famous diamond known as "The Pink Panther" has been stolen again. And once again, the famous french detective Inspector Clouseau (Peter Sellers) is assigned to the case. When soon after Clouseau starts his investigation, he mysteriously disappears, news reporter Marie Jouvet (Joanna Lumley) sets out on her own investigation. She begins by questioning everyone she can find that has had any contact with the Inspector. Marie starts with Chief Inspector Dreyfuss (Herbert Lom), Clouseau's boss and worst enemy. Later she interviews Sir Charles Litton (David Niven) and Cato (Burt Kwouk) Clouseau's valet and servant. Eventually Marie even tracks down Clouseau's father (Richard Mulligan). All the interviewee's are almost as crazy as Clouseau but are little help with his whereabouts. As always, Clouseau eventually finds the Pink Panther and saves the day in his own kooky style of heroism.
