A few years after the mishaps with his shrinking machine, Wayne Szalinski (Rick Moranis) is now working at Sterling Labs trying to build an enlarging machine. Things are not going well, and Wayne's boss, Dr. Charles Hendrickson (John Shea) is trying to steal the project. An after-hours lab experiment goes wrong when Wayne's baby son Adam (Daniel and Joshue Shalikar) and his stuffed rabbit get zapped by the enlarging machine. Nothing happens, however, until Wayne gets him home and makes dinner. The magnetic energy from the microwave oven causes Adam to grow to immense size. When Wayne's wife Diane (Marsha Strassman) comes home, she panics, and together she and Wayne try to steal the original shrinking machine from Sterling Labs. Meanwhile, Adam grows even larger and escapes to wreak havoc on the surrounding neighborhood. Hendrickson discovers the giant toddler, and brings in his boss, Clifford Sterling, to help track him down. Both the Szalinskis and Wayne's bosses try to hunt Adam down as he sets his sights on Las Vegas.
