It is reported that tomatoes have been attacking people and eating pets. The government creates a task force to find out what is going on and stop the tomatoes from killing. The task force is headed by Mason Dixon (David Miller) and includes a man who dresses variously as Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and even Adolph Hitler; a scuba diver, an Olympic swimmer, and Wilbur Finnletter (J. Stephen Peace), who is never without his parachute. Lois Fairchild (Sharon Taylor), a reporter, follows the team, as does an assassin. The President’s press secretary, Jim Richardson (George Wilson) is actually behind the tomato revolution and kidnaps Dixon, who manages an escape. Eventually, a song called “Puberty Love” is used to make the tomatoes shrink so they can be stepped on, but another vegetable threat looms on the horizon.
