Due to the radiation following World War III, mutated insects and exceptional storms have destroyed life as we know it. Following an explosion that destroys an Air Force base, four men: Luitenant Jake Tanner (Jan-Michael Vincent), Major Eugene Denton (George Peppard), Keegan (Paul Winfield) and Airman Tom Perry (Kip Niven) travel across the only path available to them in their tank-like "Landmasters" to find the source of a radio signal. To their dismay, the only path is Damnation Alley, featuring insane barbarians with shotguns and mutated killer cockroaches in their fight for survival.
