Three friends named Parker (Emma Bell), Joe (Shawn Ashmore) and Dan (Keven Zegers) talk a ski resort employee, Jason (Ed Ackerman), into letting them onto a lift at the wrong time by bribing him with cash. Then the resort shuts down for a week and the trio realize that they are stuck up in the air because the employee has forgotten about them and also miscommunicated to a colleague. The three friends try to find ways to get off of the lift before they all freeze to death on the mountain. The other problems they encounter include a pack of hungry wolves, frostbite, a broken leg, mechanical failures, and their own nerves.
