Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau (Peter Sellers) is presumed dead after a body is found in his demolished car. Crime boss Phillippe Douvier (Robert Webber) is taking credit for the hit in an effort to gain respect from his mob peers. After hearing the news of Clouseau’s untimely death…and feel much better for it, Charles Dreyfus (Herbert Lom), the former Chief Inspector, is released from the mental hospital he has been confined to. In the meantime, Clouseau, who is secretly alive and well, enlists the assistance of his “man servant” Cato (Burt Kwouk) to find out who made the attempt on his life. This is the fifth and final chapter of the 1970’s Pink Panther series, as well as the last time Peter Sellers played his infamously funny role.
