Giant insects take over a city and Cooper (Chris Marquette) sets out to save the people. Cooper is a good guy but a loser. He, along with everyone else in his office building, has a blackout. He wakes up hanging from his office ceiling covered in a web. Struggling to remove himself from it, he soon realizes that giant insects have put him there and have taken over the building and the city. Sara (Brooke Nevin), his boss’s daughter, and Cooper fall for each other while fighting the bugs and helping others to survive the infestation. Ethan (Ray Wise), Cooper’s dad, is an eccentric who has built a bomb shelter under his home. Sara and Cooper save others whom they help to survive the attack, including Cindy (Kinsey Packard), a sexy girl, and Leechee (Linda Park) whose knowledge of insects assist in the battle. They all have to get through the city to the shelter while trying to fight off the flying insects.
