John Finnegan (Treat Williams) has gotten mixed up with a ruthless gang of hijackers that have set their sights on a luxury ocean liner. They want to get on the ship, steal all the money and jewels from its passengers, and make a clean get away. When they make it onto the ship, they find the ship almost deserted. Jewel thief, Trillian St. James (Famke Janssen) was locked in the brig when the passengers disappeared, so she has no answers for them. When members of the boarding party start to go missing, the group finds that there is a huge creature on board that killed the passengers and is now hunting them.
