The crew of a scientific underwater station funded by the government, comes across a cave that was created millions of years ago by a volcano eruption. Scarpelli (Nia Peeples) suggests that more research on the cave is necessary because of continuous reports of strange underwater activities in the area. Dr. Van Gelder (Marius Weyers) doesn’t want to lose his funding so he destroys the cave opening. The crew makes another opening in the cave and sends in an unmanned probe. When the probe transmission is lost, they go after it and are attacked by an unknown creature. Captain Phillip Laidlaw (Taurean Blacque) and McBride (Greg Evigan) go to rescue them.
